David Tangren spent years on the other side — as a Pima County prosecutor litigating DUI, drug, and felony cases. Now he uses that trial experience to defend clients across Arizona.
David Tangren has spent his entire legal career in the State of Arizona, graduating from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where he served as a Note and Comment Editor on the International and Comparative Law Journal.
Following graduation, David worked for the Pima County Attorney’s Office. Beginning as a misdemeanor prosecutor, he gained valuable experience litigating DUI crimes along with every other misdemeanor charge from Disorderly Conduct to Driving on a Suspended License. He then moved to a felony trial team in the Property and Narcotics Bureau, gaining experience in all manner of criminal litigation — from grand jury through evidentiary hearings to several full trials, all as first chair.
Leveraging that prosecutorial trial experience, David moved to Phoenix and now works exclusively in private defense, including for one of the largest criminal defense firms in Maricopa County. He has represented clients in courts across Arizona, from Maricopa to Apache County.
In his spare time, David enjoys playing with his dogs, playing golf, and watching his San Francisco Giants and 49ers.
